Water Damage and Silt Left Behind By Storm Jonas

In January 2016 Storm Jonas came through Cape May County; flood waters making their way into many homes and businesses. When the flood waters subsided they left behind large amounts water damage along with silt throughout these properties. As you can see in the photos of this home there was an excessive amount of silt left behind. The professionals at SERVPRO of Cape May County arrived to this home and immediately probed to see what materials were wet and how wet they were. Just because materials do not physically look wet does not mean the water did not make its way behind the materials. Once the crew knew what materials were wet they then began to clean up the silt and disinfect all of the affected areas. Finally they placed all the proper drying equipment.
