On Vacation and There is a Puff Back in Your Home.

This homeowner was on vacation for about a week when he received a call from his neighbor stating that his smoke detectors had been going off. Beings that the homeowner was out of town he had a friend check on the house and it turns out there was a puff back from the furnace. The soot was not only in the basement but had traveled all throughout the house. SERVPRO of Cape May County went on site and cleaned up all the soot. The customer rented a pod due to all of the content in the basement and he did an inventory list of what he wanted the crew to clean and store and what he wanted to have disposed.

The soot was so bad in the basement that our crew removed the insulation. Once the fire restoration was completed our rebuild team went onsite and replaced the insulation in the basement. The homeowner was very satisfied with our work and was very grateful to his friend who recommended us to him.
